About The Event

We'll begin the mini-retreat with a centering meditation and brief check-in. Then, we'll flow into gentle mindful movement*. Eventually, you’ll be invited to get cozy and comfortable for a guided meditation. We'll spend the rest of our time together talking about (and practicing) self-compassion, which is one of the five natural antidepressant properties of the brain.

ABOUT THE UPCOMING 6-WEEK SERIES: Uncovering Happiness

This 6-week Series will be a thoughtful intersection of book-club-meets-meditation-group.

We’ll practice mindfulness together in our sacred circle, have heartfelt conversations inspired by our weekly reading, and gain insight through journaling during the week. This group is all about creating the space to journey within while being held in the safe + supportive center of a loving group of women.

Throughout our six weeks together, we’ll engage and strengthen the five natural antidepressant properties of the brain by putting what we learn into practice inside and outside of group. We’ll each create a personalized wellness plan, including a variety of strategies supported by research to support a more resilient brain and body.

The invitation is for you to come exactly as you are- nothing to change, nothing to fix, nothing to improve. All parts of you are welcome here. The WILD Spirit, WISE Soul Women’s Group is a sacred space to let yourself be seen, heard, and accepted just as you are.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Outside of group, we’ll each read "Uncovering Happiness" by Elisha Goldstein and every week we’ll gather together in the intimate space of the Asheville Healing House to mindfully move, meditate, share, and support.

We'll begin each group with a centering meditation and brief check-in. Then, we'll flow into gentle mindful movement*. Eventually, you’ll be invited to get cozy and comfortable for a guided meditation. Next, it's time for sharing. We'll discuss the previous week's reading, along with our thoughts, comments, questions, and concerns.

Sundays from 11am-1pm

November 4th, 11th, 18th

December 2nd, 9th, 16th

*All mindful movement will be trauma-informed, gentle, and done either seated in a chair or standing
